IPL 2017: Big blow to Gujarat Lions, Dwayne Bravo ruled out for rest of the tournament

The Gujarat skipper Suresh Raina has confirmed the information during the toss ahead of their game against the Kings XI Punjab

Earlier it was speculated that with Dwayne Bravo’s comeback in the playing XI, there will be some improvement in the bowling performance of the Gujarat Lions. But in a huge blow to the Keshav Bansal-owned Gujarat Franchise, their star bowler DJ Bravo has been ruled out for the rest of the season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 10. The Caribbean all-rounder has failed to recover from his hamstring injury and has to return home.

The Gujarat skipper Suresh Raina has confirmed the information during the toss ahead of their game against the Kings XI Punjab and asserted that the team management would soon get a replacement. He said,”Bravo has been ruled out of the tournament. He has been in rehab for a long time but could recover. He would another few weeks to get well. We need to have a chat with the management and see who could be the replacement.”

While the team owner Keshav Bansal took to his twitter account and conveyed this news. He posted a picture and along with DJ Bravo and wrote a post which said,”Going to miss this Champion! Unfortunately, he has been ruled out this season due to injury! I wish him all the best for a speedy recovery!”

Earlier, Bravo posted one of his video on the social media where he was seen practising during the net sessions. Als, he was seen in a video with his brother Darren Bravo where he was reciting some lyrics of a song which had India and Virat Kohli mentioned in it!
