IPL 2017 schedule released: David Warner-led SRH to clash with Virat Kohli-led RCB in IPL opener

IPL 2017 full schedule has been released and the first clash is between the winners and runner-up of previous edition of the league.

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 is all set to start on April 5 and this year’s edition will start off from right where it ended as David Warner led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will go up against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The defending champions SRH will be hosting the IPL 2017 opener. The final of this edition’s IPL as well is scheduled to be held in Hyderabad.

As soon as Australia-India four-match Test series ends the IPL 2017 will kick-off. Kohli’s RCB lost IPL 2016 final to Warner’s RCB in a nail-biting affair. The IPL full schedule has not brought disappointment to his fans as the rivals of IPL 2016 final will lock horns in the IPL opener.

Kohli set new records in previous IPL becoming the batsman with most hundreds (4) and most runs in a single season. He was followed by David Warner in the leading run-scorer of the IPL 2016 season department. Both have shown splendid form in recent past with Kohli scoring his fourth double hundred on the trot and Warner scoring centuries for Australia in the home season.

MS Dhoni’s side Rising Pune Supergiants too will be looking for redemption this year. They ended up being in the bottom half of the standings table in the previous edition. Dhoni will be determined to take his side into the qualifiers this time around.

IPL 2017 Auction is to be held on February 20. The fate of 351 players will be decided in the auction.
