India vs Bangladesh, Throwback Video: When MS Dhoni made all the Bangladeshi fans cry with his humongous six

After MS Dhoni finished the game with a humungous six, the Indian players started celebrating in joy as they were the new Asian Champions but all the Bangladeshi fans who came to watch the game were highly disappointed

It seems that India and Bangladesh are now destined to face each other in the crucial games of any series they play. It could be observed right from the 2015 World Cup quarter-finals when these two neighbouring countries played against each other and the series continued. Next, they met in the Asia Cup final in 2016, T20 World Cup 2016 quarter-finals and in 2017, they are playing the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy 2017. All the games played before in those big series were won by India. However, some of the clashes are considered as the best match of the lifetime.

We definitely remember the run out of Mushfiqur Rahim by MS Dhoni in the World T20 2016 where the game was stretched till the last over and MS Dhoni’s superb efforts took Team India to the semi-finals. But before the Asia Cup 2016 finals was another cult when yet again the then Team India captain finished the game in his own style (hitting a six) and proved that why he is known as World’s Best Finisher.

The game was scheduled to be played at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur. It was a big game for both the teams but rain interrupted the game and the match was reduced to 15 overs. Bangladesh batted first and scored 120 runs while India needed 121 runs to win. While chasing the target India started pretty well and by the 12the over India score 102 after losing two wickets. They needed 19 runs to win in 12 balls. The pressure was rising and then came MS Dhoni to bat and the entire Scenario changed.

Bangla pacer Al-Amin had the bowl and Dhoni on strike. First ball and Dhoni sends the ball out of the park. A huge six came off the first ball and all the Bangladeshi faces were down.

Next ball, Amin to Dhoni, a single was taken and Kohli took the strike.

Third ball, Amin to Kohli. Kohli hits a cracking shot down the line towards straight but there was a fielder. Bothe the batsmen took 3 runs off that ball and Dhoni was back on strike. India needed 9 runs in 9 balls.

Fourth ball, Amin again to Dhoni. Dhoni made the room and hit another biggie which went for a boundary. 5 runs needed in 8 balls.

Meanwhile, the Bangla fans were totally shattered. Some were praying, some were too sad and some have already left the ground. The Indian dugout was happy but there a complete silence in the Bangladesh dressing room.

Fifth ball, Amin to Dhoni and MS finishes off in style. Dhoni hits a huge six to end the game and India won the match by 8 wickets with 7 balls to spare. Indian players were celebrating in joy as they were new Asian Champions but all the Bangladeshi fans who came to watch the game were highly disappointed.
