Virender Sehwag is an incessant twitterati, most often than not his tweets make news because of the humour it contains. India U-17 is currently participating in the U-17 Football World Cup and they have defeated a footballing giant in Italy. India beat Italy 2-0, in a practice game. The match was dominated by the Indian Colts, who put up a great show against their more fancied opponents. But what is making noise is swashbuckling former opener Virender Sehwag’s tweet. This is not the first and certainly not the last time that Virender Sehwag is giving his humorous take on a certain issue.
His tweet read, “Yaay ! We have beaten Italy. Congratulations to the under 17 @IndianFootball on the spectacular victory. Italy ki idli ban gayi !”

It was Abhijit Sarkar and Rahul Praveen who scored the goals to see the Indian team through. The goals came in the 31st minute where Sarkar opened the scoring. The Rahul scored in the 80th minute of the match to seal a historic win for the Colts. In fact, India came close on many occasions to score, like in the 59th minute, Aniket missed a scoring opportunity narrowly.

All said and done, it seems the future of Indian football is in good hands and we can expect bigger things from them in the future.
