Watch: Virender Sehwag makes UNNECESSARY COMPARISON, says women's cricket team did what the men couldn't

womens world cup: India will be taking on England in the finals of the Women's World Cup on the 23rd of July at the iconic Lord's

There is no stopping Virender Sehwag. This time he may have stepped the bar a bit too far, when in his recent video he said, “women’s cricket team did what the men could not”. The point is was there a need of making such comments ahead of a big Women’s World Cup Finals. But, knowing Virender Sehwag, he is not stranger to making such comments and falling a victim to trollers. Virender Sehwag recently crossed the 11 mn mark on Twitter.

India will be taking on England in the finals of the Women’s World Cup on the 23rd of July at the iconic Lord’s. Virender Sehwag in the video says, “Our women did what our men could not. Indian men’s team lost to Australia in the finals of the Men’s World Cup in 2015 in the semi-finals, but the women did one better by defeating Australia and making the finals.”

He made these remark in a video he shared on his Instagram account.

The question is was the timing right, Mr Virender Sehwag?

He also went on to wish the women’s cricket team all the best and said,” I wish they continue the good work and lift the trophy, that would make us very proud.”

He also took to Twitter to post the same video, in his post there was a comment that read, “Our girls always make us proud. Wishing them the best for tomorrow’s finals. Chak De India !”

In this video, he speaks in Hindi and uses the local term for girls, he touts them as ‘chhoriyaan’.
