WATCH: Ravindra Jadeja gets Alastair Cook out for the 5th time in this series

Their start was not good as both openers departed when England's score was only 21

Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja has got England’s captain Alastair Cook out for the 5th time in this series. Indian Test captain Virat Kohli took an easy catch at slip to dismiss him for a personal score of 10. Watch the video to relish the moment.

Jadeja added insult to the injury on a day when Cook passed a personal milestone- he crossed 11,000 runs in Test matches.

England won the toss and decided to bat first. Their start was not good as both openers departed when England’s score was only 21. Ishant Sharma, who is making a comeback, got Jennings out.

England’s most successful batsman in the series, Joe Root steadied the innings as he steered the total to 68 for the loss of 2 wickets at lunch. After lunch, Root scored yet another half-century in the series.

India have already won the five-match series 3-0. While England are playing for pride, India want to get the greatest victory ever on England.

Indian spinners- Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja- are already getting the purchase from the wicket. Many of Ashwin’s deliveries have left the England batsmen perplexed. The bowler, who is not known to be the greatest turners of the ball, was getting a big turn off the surface. England have not been able to play spin well this series and the pitch will make their days in Chennai difficult.

This Test is a dead rubber but it can be record-breaking for the Indian team. If they win the Test, they will better their streak of not losing a match for 18 Tests. Captain Virat Kohli can also make a personal record- he can break Sunil Gavaskar’s record of scoring the most runs by a captain in a series. Gavaskar had scored 732 runs against West Indies at home in 1978-89.

Ravichandran Ashwin can also break Harbhajan Singh’s record of the second highest number of 5-wicket hauls by an Indian in Test matches. Harbhajan had taken 25 five-fors whereas Ashwin has already taken 24.
