Rohit Sharma, the 'Hitman' set to make a comeback after injury!

Rohit Sharma has been way from the game for a while now, his presence in the Vijay Hazare Trophy will be a talking point.

Rohit Sharma has been away from cricket field for a while. Rohit has not played a single match after 5th ODI against New Zealand in 2016 which held three months back. He has been raring to get back into the action and has been pretty vocal about it through his Twitter handle. He announced his return via tweet as he will be playing for Mumbai on March 4 and 6 in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy.

His first game upon return will be against Andhra on March 4. After that, he will be playing against Goa on March 6. His tweet read, ‘Finally done with rehab, can’t wait to play Vijay Hazare on 4th and 6th. Thank you to everyone who helped me get here. Counting down the minutes.

Rohit Sharma has been a regular in the ODI squad for a while now. The ‘Hitman’ has cemented his place with big innings, scoring two double hundreds in the ODI format.


With Rohit Sharma playing in Vijay Hazare Trophy, selectors will have an eye out for his form and performance or whether tha injury has had a major impact on him.

He will be expected to make a comeback in the upcoming Champions Trophy 2017 starting June 1. But before returning to the international circuit, he will be leading Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017.

He has been posting the photos of his recovery and then getting back to the practice sessions, trying to get his groove back. He will be tested in IPL 2017 as his team could not enter the qualifiers in the previous edition of the league.
