India’s World Cup-winning captain’s popularity has not taken a hit even after he has retired from Test cricket, given up captaincy in all formats or as a matter of fact being sacked by Rising Pune Supergiants captaincy. What he did on Ranchi Airport will fill your hearts with emotions towards Dhoni.
Fans always do crazy things to get a glimpse of their favourite player. When Dhoni reached his hometown Ranchi on March 7 at Birsa Munda Airport a herd of fans got anxious to get a glimpse of him, take photographs or what not! Dhoni tried to follow his usual regime as he tried to get on his SUV as soon as he landed in his hometown. The security there tried to move people away from the SUV as Dhoni begun to head home but a girl came in the way. The security managed to get her off the way but the girl dropped her bag on the ground.

As soon as Dhoni realised that he has run over the girl fan’s bag by his SUV, he applied brakes almost in a reflex. He made sure that the girl was ridden of any injuries and her bag was returned. Gestures like these give you an insight to the person despite being celebrities.
Dhoni has been known for his humble nature, he does not refrain from meeting his old friends, travelling with the team by train or as a matter of fact shaking head with an intruder fan running in the ground amidst Vijay Hazare Trophy match.
