Meet IPL's new million dollar Afghani Rashid Khan, who says 'Sachin is my idol'!

Of course Sachin Tendulkar is an inspiration for millions across the globe and in India he is nothing short of a demi god. India is a country where cricket is in itself a religion and the little master supposedly its god. The protagonist here is a young Afghanistani, who along with Mohammad Nabi would be making his IPL debut. Rashid Khan says he needs a haircut badly, quite sharp one might say.

In a recently conducted interview by a news channel, the Rs 4cr-man Rashid Khan said, “I love Sachin Tendulkar a lot. He has been a huge inspiration all these years. I want to meet him and will try to get a few tips from him. I also want to meet Sehwag and Dhoni”.

The Afghani lad who overcame all obstacles will soon be living a dream. The humble and sedate bowler also said about being part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad unit which boasts of big names, he added, “There are some big names in the Hyderabad team. (David) Warner, Yuvraj (Singh), Shikhar (Dhawan), (Kane) Williamson are big names in world cricket and have been playing IPL for so long. It is a great opportunity for me to learn from their experience and share it with my boys in the Afghanistan team”.
