Kaif tries to pull off a Sehwag style birthday wish for Yuvraj on Twitter but fails badly

The southpaw from Punjab turns 35 today

Conveying birthday wishes on Twitter are indeed special. While former India cricketer Virender Sehwag has mastered the art of delivering his message through humour and pun, others have a lot to learn. Mohammad Kaif is one such candidate. As comeback king Yuvraj Singh celebrates his 35th birthday today, cricketers and other sporting heroes took to Twitter to wish the newly married.

Mohammad Kaif, one of the first cricketers to wish Yuvi, tweeted, “Wishing my brother @YUVSTRONG12 a very happy birthday. May you have everything UV, WXYZ.Yeh Dosti Hum nahi chodhenge. #HappyBirthdayYuvi.” While one can understand the feelings are true and the brotherly bond will go on forever, what about the attempt of being “funny”? Kaif prays that UV gets everything in the world and as a parameter of achieving that, he follows it up with “WXYZ”.

While Kaif needs to come up with better puns, teammate Gautam Gambhir wishes Yuvraj Singh for his first birthday post marriage. Gambhir has been kind enough to share some marital advice with Yuvi and his tweet was also on the same lines. Definitely, a much better pun compared to Kaif’s.

Sachin had correctly predicted that Yuvraj would make India proud in the 2011 World Cup and rest is history. The God of Indian cricket, posted an emotional tweet for the southpaw.

Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh who has played along side Yuvraj Singh for the Punjab team for eons  wished his “brother from another mother” in his own style.

Gurkeerat Mann and Indian hockey captain PR Sreejesh joined the list of celebs who congratulated the Prince of Punjab on a turning a year older.

The birthday boy thanked Virat Kohli and his men for his making his day special with a 3-0 win against England in the ongoing series.
