Former batsman Virender Sehwag on Tuesday wished all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja on his birthday in his unique style. Sehwag, who is fairly popular on Twitter for his witty one-liners, trolled Jadeja by comparing him with ‘chips ka packet’.

Ravindra Jadeja likes to get into his rhythm and finish his overs quickly. Sehwag picked this aspect of his game to troll him on Twitter. He wrote that his overs finish quicker than a packet of chips.

The mention of a sword in Sehwag’s tweet was regarding Jadeja’s trademark celebration in which he swings his bat akin to wielding a sword. In Mohali Test against England, Jadeja put on display his skills with the bat as he scored a half-century. He celebrated in his unique style.

Jadeja turned 28 today. Despite struggling with the bat early in his career, Jadeja has established himself in the team with his bowling skills and is now the second spinner besides Ravichandran Ashwin. The Saurashtra all-rounder is a regular in Team India for the last few years. His combination with Ashwin is considered as one of the world’s deadliest spin duo in the world.

In the third Test against England at Mohali, Jadeja impressed with both- the bat and the ball- as he was adjudged the man of the match. With his performance with the bat, he silenced his critics who doubted his batting prowess. However, his shot selection is still in question as he got out at 90 by playing a lofty shot, not needed at the moment in the match. He should make a birthday resolution to be more responsible towards his shot selection this year.
