We also get a glimpse of Mahendra Singh Dhoni's beloved wife, Sakshi. She is seen clapping and enjoying the moment

Mahendra Singh Dhoni turns 36 and greetings are pouring in from all parts of the globe. He happens to be arguably the most successful captain to have led the Indian cricket team. Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and many of his other teammates, past and present have already wished him. MSD, as he is fondly known is currently in West Indies for the brief One Day International tour. Dhoni as a captain has won the T20 World Cup, the 50-overs Cricket World Cup in 2011 and also won the ICC Champions Trophy, apart from taking India to the numero uno spot in Tests. Hence, one can safely say, he has been there done it all.

MS Dhoni hails from the cricketing backwaters of Jharkhand. His coming to the forefront of Indian cricket was laced with a lot of obstacles, but he overcame all of that. This shows the mental space he keeps. He is calm and composed even in the most crunch situations and that is what sets him apart from his contemporaries. Remember 2007 T20 World Cup, when he handed over the ball to a young Joginder Sharma, well only he can do that with Harbhajan Singh still having one over remaining. But that gamble, that day paid off well.

So as he turns 36, his teammates organised a small cake-cutting ceremony which was done in a very hush-hush manner. It is a chocolate cake, Dhoni is still in the bed, probably it is a surprise that has been organised. In the 10 second footage, we can hear chants of the Happy birthday song. If one hears minutely, you can hear Hardik Pandya’s voice as well. We also get a glimpse of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s beloved wife, Sakshi. She is seen clapping and enjoying the moment. We guess they are in the team hotel in Jamaica.
