West Indies star batsman Chris Gayle, who made a comeback in his national team after a pretty long time,  gave a see off treat to the players and staff of the Indian cricket team before they wrapped up the series and left for home. Virat Kohli and Co. conquered the 5-match ODI series by 3-1 but failed to take the only T20I game home. On July 9, the Caribbean hosts defeated the men-in-blue by 9 wickets.  After the game ended, Chris Gayle hosted a dinner for the Indian guests. It was a goodwill gesture from the local boy for his Indian mates with whom he has developed a close friendship. He shares a great relationship with the Indian cricketers as he is one of the key players of the team Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

According to several media reports, the dinner was attended by the entire Indian team and the support staff. On July 10, Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane took to his official Instagram account to thank Chris Gayle for an amazing night. He shared a picture where he could be seen with the host (Gayle) and team’s batting coach Sanjay Bangar. The post also has a caption which says,”Thank you Chris for hosting us for dinner.”
