India vs Australia 2017: Virat Kohli will come back 'bigger and stronger' predicts Mitchell Starc

Mitchell Starc expresses his concern over VIrat Kohli getting back at Australian bowlers after Pune Test.

Virat Kohli could not continue his splendid run in Tests as he got out early in both the innings at Pune against Australia. He lost his wicket in the first innings in an attempt to chase a ball offside off stump and ended up edging it to wicketkeeper Mathew Wade. Starc was delighted as soon as he got the wicket of the in-form batsman.

Indian team has been under scrutiny after their humiliating 333 run loss at Pune as they bundled out for 105 and 107 in first and second innings. Kohli had scored a brilliant double hundred in the previous Test against Bangladesh but could not carry his form in the series against Australia.

Starc told a leading news publishing website when asked about first Test dismissal of Kohli, “We know (Kohli) is going to be another key wicket for the rest of the series. There’s six more times we’ve got to get him out to really cement this series. We know he’ll come back bigger and stronger, but he’s one I’ll take over Pujara at the moment,”

”He’s a class player, we all know that. He’s scored a mountain of runs already this year. We’re going to have to be wary of that Virat comeback. We are really happy that it happened that way for us, but we know that one Test is not going to win us the series. It’s three important Test matches to go.” he added.

The second Test is scheduled to be held from March 4 to March 8 at Bengaluru. Kohli revealed his plans in the post match conference saying that they will put the Australian side under pressure from ball one, and that is exactly what the Aussies expect from them.
