Irfan Pathan post IPL snub: I didn't give up after 5 fractures, will make a comeback

In 2010, Irfan Pathan suffered five fractures and his physio asked him to give up cricket, but he didn't and has vouched to keep fighting

They hailed him as an ‘IPL specialist’. He represented many franchises and one feels, he is ideally suited for the shorter version considering his ability with the ball and the bat. But the IPL owners had other plans in their mind. Irfan Pathan, the Baroda pacer made his debut way back in 2003 against Australia and was arguably the best swing bowler during his time. Irfan also has a memorable hat-trick to his name, a feat which he achieved against Pakistan in Karachi in the very first over. But he could not sustain the rise and his career graph started dipping post injuries and niggles.

Yet, this Pathan did not give up playing the sport that earned him his bread and butter. It was disappointing for him not to get picked by a franchise at the IPL auctions.
