Virat Kohli might not endorse Pepsi and it will be a revolutionary step from Indian sportsperson as it will set the tone for other celebrities as well

Virat Kohli has become a synonym with fitness. The Indian skipper is very particular about his life choices whether it is about his fitness or which brands to endorse. Kohli recently bagged a cash-rich deal with sports apparel brand Puma and his brand value shot up to the roofs. But, that does not mean Kohli is a celebrity who runs after money, endorsing anything and everything which gets him big bucks. He has surely matured with age and understands his responsibility towards the society justifying the famous phrase from movie ‘Spiderman’, ‘With great power comes great responsibility’.

Kohli has might not extend his deal with Pepsi Co. In a recent interview with LiveMint, he said, “We are actually on the cusp of making some big changes on [the endorsement] front. Things that I’ve endorsed in the past, I won’t take names, but something that I feel that I don’t connect to anymore. If I myself won’t consume such things, I won’t urge others to consume it just because I’m getting money out of it”.

This clearly refers that Kohli will no longer endorse products which pose a threat to one’s health. He hints that he won’t be endorsing products which he wouldn’t use himself. However, there is no official word from Kohli’s spokesperson. Recently a news made rounds on the internet that Kohli drinks bottled water from Evan imported from France and costs a Rs. 600 per litre. One can imagine the amount of hard work he puts into his fitness.

Let’s take a look at what soft drinks like Pepsi does to out human body

It seems that Kohli is trying to set an example for fellow sportspersons who have endorsed any product blindly in order to make some money. He has made substantial changes in his fitness over the past few years and refrained from everything that has tried to hinder with his health. Kohli has been setting fitness goals for everyone and now he is setting endorsements goals for fellow sportspersons and celebrities.

Kohli has a strict diet plan and does not even consume packaged juice products. Over the period of time, he has laid emphasis on fitness and has been vocal about it as well. In a country where people consume junk food and soft drinks in large quantities and a reason for obesity, he is clearly leading by example, not just his team but the whole nation as well.
