Sourav Ganguly challenges Virender Sehwag for a SPRINT post ICC Champions Trophy 2017, know why!

Virender Sehwag tried to tease Sourav Ganguly in an attempt to mock his running between the wickets but got challenged by his former skipper in turn

In a bizarre turn of events, former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly challenges former Indian opener for a sprint post-ICC Champions Trophy 2017. The whole story started when Sehwag was talking about the running between the wickets of the Pakistani batsmen during the India vs Pakistan clash. He soon started to compare Ganguly with Indian skipper Virat Kohli who has been known for his swift running between the wickets. Sehwag also tried to tell Ganguly that he dealt mostly in boundaries in his career and refrained from running singles.

To this, Ganguly waited for two more overs in the commentary box with Sehwag and former Indian wicketkeeper Saba Karim. Ganguly got a few facts in a jiffy trying to prove his point, he told Sehwag that out of 11,363 runs he has scored in ODIs 36 per cent constitute of singles. He not only got his facts but Sehwag’s as well. He told Sehwag that out of 8.273 ODI scored he has scored, only 24 per cent of them constitute of singles.

Sehwag for a change was stumped by Ganguly and tried to clarify his statement and said that he was comparing him with Kohli and not him. Ganguly did not just stop there and went on to challenge Sehwag for a post-ICCrace) post ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

Ganguly went on to take a dig at him saying that he will have two physios in place for Sehwag for the duration of their sprint challenge. Soon enough, the news of the sprint challenge spread like wildfire in the commentary box with VVS Laxman, Sunil Gavaskar expressing that they can’t wait for this challenge to happen. They also urged Star Sports to arrange the challenge after ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
