India vs Pakistan ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Vijay Mallya spotted at Edgbaston watching cricket match

Once called the "king of good times", Vijay Mallya has been absconding from India after several cases of financial default piled up on him. And today, he was spotted in the Edgbaston ground watching the India vs Pakistan game

The entire world witnessed the high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy 2017’s game number 4 at Edgbaston. Indian batting line up performed extremely well while and the Indian bowlers also took a good care of the Pakistani batsmen and took early wickets. Meanwhile, the entire limelight was shifted from the game when the camera focused on the biggest loan defaulter of India, Vijay Mallya. Once called the “king of good times” has been absconding from India after several cases of financial default piled up on him. And today, he was spotted in the Edgbaston ground watching the India vs Pakistan game. He was apparently hanging around with the legendary Sunil Gavaskar, just shows that the liquor-barrel king still enjoys support from the people who matter.

Mallya was spotted in the spectator stand where he was sitting and watching the game. As soon as he was seen, his pictures went viral on the social media. News agency ANI also shared his picture on their official Twitter handle.

Vijaya Mallya has been issued several notices from the court to appear in the hearings. However, he failed to attend any of the hearings and now he has been declared as an absconder and arrest warrants were issued. Earlier, the Scotland Yard arrested his on April 18. Later, the English agency stated that the arrest had been made on behalf of the Indian authorities.

Mallya, who sneaked out of India last March and is reportedly living in London, is wanted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The government and the RBI have hinted at going hard at the fugitive business tycoon.
