ICC Champions Trophy 2017: When Virat Kohli-Anil Kumble FOUGHT over Kuldeep Yadav

ICC Champions Trophy: Kuldeep Yadav, India's first chinaman bowler sprang to limelight after bagging four wickets in the Test against Australia

With ICC Champions Trophy a couple of days away, the grapevine has it that there is infighting in the Indian camp. It is believed that the top helm of affairs are not happy with something involving Kuldeep Yadav. Well, Kuldeep Yadav, India’s first chinaman bowler sprang to limelight after bagging four wickets in the crucial deciding Test against Australia, three months back. Yadav was foxing the Australian batsman at will and even in the Indian Premier League he was economical while representing Kolkata Knight Riders. He made the most of whatever given opportunities he was presented with.

But news pouring in has it that Indian captain Virat Kohli and Indian coach Anil Kumble were opposing eachother over the young wrist spinner. BCCI is already looking for alternative options as Kumble is asking for a mammoth hike in salary. But that is not what we are focusing on.

But Kumble’s decision was justified as Yadav took 4 wickets in his debut Test and India won the match. “This may or may not be the reason. But we believe the people in the corridors of power have been told that Kumble is overbearing and doesn’t give freedom to the players. It’s sad that aspersions are cast on a legend of Indian cricket,” said a BCCI official to The Hindu.

Now it will be interesting to see if this will affect the dressing room environment. They are professionals and such things actually should not affect team India. India play their first match at Edgbaston against Pakistan.
