This is what it's like to play alongside world's most expensive footballer

Jose Mourinho's Manchester United signed Paul Pogba from Juventus for world-record £89 million

The 2016 summer transfer window saw France’s Paul Pogba return to his old stomping ground – Old Trafford. The 23-year-old talismanic midfielder was signed by Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United from Juventus for world-record £89 million. Paul eclipsed Gareth Bale as the world’s most expensive footballer.

Pogba recently scored his first goal for the Mancunian Reds against defending champions Leicester City since his comeback.

Pogba’s midfield partner Ander Herrera has recently spoken positively about the Frenchman and their on-field relationship.

“It is going well. I also have a great example in that position in Michael Carrick, because he has been one of the best players in the last decade, and I think I can learn a lot from him,” Ander Herrera told Goal.

The Spaniard said that he is still learning to cope with defensive midfield responsibilities and that it is a privilege to play with the world’s most expensive player.

“But Paul is a very strong, very physical player who shoots with both feet. He can dribble, he can defend, he has it all. I can then stay back to steal the ball, to keep the position, and from there initiate attacks. I’m fine, and I’ll try to provide everything that the manager asks of me,” Herrera added.
