Tragic! Man dies after wife accidentally hits him with car in Kerala

The wife is yet to recover from the shock of the incident. She has been admitted to the Tata Tea Hospital in Munnar, Kerala.

In a tragic incident, a man, who was riding a bicycle died after being knocked down by a car that was driven by his wife. The incident happened in Kerala’s Munnar district. The couple had gone there along with their children for a family vacation.

The deceased has been identified as Sukumaran Nair, according to a Times of India report. The incident happened when Ashok’s wife Reshmi lost control of the vehicle and the car struck Ashok, who riding a bicyle ahead, and he hit his head on the fall.

The report suggests that Nair was a cycling enthusiast and her wife got distracted by their children – Shredha, 7, and Shreya, 5 – who were fiddling with the car’s stereo system, in a bid to adjust the volume, Reshmi briefly lost control of the vehicle.

Reshmi rushed her husband to the hospital, but the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. Ashok’s body is currently being kept at the Tata Tea Hospital. According to the Kerala Police, there were slight aberrations on the deceased’s body, but no deep wounds were visible. He was profusely bleeding from the nose. An autopsy will be performed today.

Ashok was a post-graduate from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. He had met Reshmi there and later they got married. He was working as an executive with the semi-conductor company, AMD.

Reshmi is yet to recover from the shock of the incident. She has been admitted to the Tata Tea Hospital. “We are yet to figure out the exact details, since Reshmi is still in shock,” said the cops.
