Shahid Afridi wants Kashmir issue resolved, free from 'suffering and brutality'

Shahid Afridi has been out of the Pakistani side since his side's forgettable performance in T20 Asia Cup 2016 and ICC T20 World Cup 2016

Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi takes Twitter’s help to share his views on Kashmir issue. Afridi expressed his concern for Kashmir’s prosperity. He wants the India-Pakistan to resolve the issues and let the people living in Kashmir lead peaceful lives, away from the politics and violence it has suffered over the years. Both the countries have lost their soldiers and civilian lives to the quarrel which dates back to the partition of countries in 1947.

Earlier, 36-year-old was critcised by his own population when he revealed that Indian crowd loves him more than Pakistan crowd and he is more loved in the country. To which he had to clarify several times.

Afridi has not been included in the Pakistan squad after his team’s poor performance in T20 World Cup 2016. He led the Pakistani side in T20 Asia Cup and T20 World Cup 2016 and had a couple of forgettable tournaments.

 

Afridi tweeted, “Kashmir has been suffering from brutality since past many decades.its high time this [time this] issue shd [should] be resolved which has taken infinite lives. Kashmir is heaven on earth & we can’t be oblivious to the pleas of the innocent. #iStandWithKashmir #KasmirSolidarityDay”

Afridi has been out of the international cricket for a while now but he has been involved in domestic cricket and playing in leagues. He will be seen playing in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 as well.
