Priyanka Chopra's Baywatch is giving tough time to the Censor Board. Here are the details

Just before the release of Priyanka Chopra's Hollywood debut Baywatch, the CBFC is facing challenges on how to certify the film

Priyanka Chopra is gearing up for the release of her Hollywood debut film Baywatch. But before its release, the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) is facing challenges on how to certify the film. Baywatch is an upcoming American action-comedy film directed by Seth Gordon, based on the television series of the same name. The film is entirely shot on the beach side and is full of bikini scenes. So as per CBFC guidelines, unnecessary nudity must be curbed.

According to an entertainment portal, a source close to the censor board said that they are in dilemma on how to grade the film which is full of bikini scenes. A lot of the film fans are under-age kids, but how do they curb the nudity when it is projected on the beach side.

The film stars Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron among others. The Rock has stepped into Hasselhoff’s famous red shorts as Mitch, actor Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex and model Kelly Rohrbach plays Anderson’s character CJ and Efron is Matt Brody, first played by David Charvet. Actress Priyanka Chopra, who will be seen playing a negative role in her upcoming Hollywood film Baywatch, said she wanted her character in the film to be feminine and evil at the same time.

When asked what made her choose Baywatch as her debut film in Hollywood, Priyanka said: “After Quantico, I was offered some amazing films. But I liked Baywatch the most because, one, it was a huge, big, global movie and I was a ‘Baywatch’ fan when I was growing up. And secondly, I was playing a villain in the film.”

Well, it looks like Priyanka Chopra’s Hollywood debut is giving a tough time to the Censor Board and it will be interesting to see how many scenes will the CBFC cut short to make it apt for the audiences.
