The fans of India and Pakistan cricket teams were extremely excited ahead of the big finals of ICC Champions Trophy 2017. We Indians had our fingers crossed and waiting to see Indian players performing well and overshadowing Pakistan team. But unfortunately, the reverse happened. First, the Pakistani opening pair of Azhar Ali and Fakhar Zaman destroyed the Indian bowling line and by the end, Mohammad Hafeez and Imad Wasim did the rest. With an outstanding batting performance, the Pakistan cricket team managed to put a huge score of 338 runs and set a target of 339 runs for the men in blue to chase.

The Indian bowlers somewhere missed the luck factor in today’s match. Right from the beginning of the game, something or the other went wrong for the men in blue. In the fourth over, the Indians could have got the wicket of Fakhar Zaman but Bumrah’s overstepping gave the Pakistani opener another chance and he scored his first century. Later, in the 49th over, Bumrah delivered a yorker to Mohammad Hafeez and the ball hit the stumps after being stopped by the bat but the bails didn’t get dislodged. Team India once again missed taking a wicket while Hafeez ended up scoring a half-century in this game.

For the first time in this tournament, the Pakistan Cricket Team performed this good. Fakhar Zaman stunned everyone out there with his first ODI career century.

On the other hand, India had a very poor start. Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a duck by Mohammad Amir in the very first over of the game while next 4 wickets were down within 54 runs in just 14 overs. The Indian top order could perform that well and were back to pavilion very early.
