UP cop suspended for refusing to clean the floor and chewing tobacco on duty

CM Yogi Adityanath has put a ban on consuming any kind of tobacco in all the government offices during duty hours

Seems like Uttar Pradesh government is no mood to let go those who are not abiding by the cleanliness vow, in such a recent incident a police official in Lucknow was suspended for chewing tobacco while on duty.

Nagesh Mishra, station officer (SO) of Madiaon, was found chewing tobacco while taking oath for cleanliness and was also not in the proper uniform. He had put on slippers instead of shoes. The senior officials told that Mishra also did not agree on sweeping the floor of the station and instead said he did not take the job of a inspector to clean floors.

SSP Lucknow, Manzil Saini told TOI, “Madiaon police station is filthy and instead of making an effort to clean it, Mishra made an irresponsible remark.”

Few days back, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced banning of pan masala, ghtuka or any kind of tobacco in all the government offices during duty hours.

The decision was announced by CM when he found betel stains on the walls secretariat in Lucknow. He also asked the officials to keep the office premises clean.

Earlier UP Deputy CM, Keshav Prasad Maurya had said,”After detecting stains on walls of annexe building, he (CM) directed the employees to not consume pan or pan masala while on duty and to ensure cleanliness.”
