ABVP leads ‘Tiranga’ march at Ramjas college, raises ‘Vande Mataram’ slogans

The protest at Delhi University’s Ramjas college isn’t one to end soon and on February 27, it took another turn after the Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) held a ‘Tiranga March’ which has been termed as the march for the country. Later today at 4 pm, JNU students’ union (JNUSU) will be holding a public meeting at the Administrative Block while students and teachers from Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) have planned a march from Khalsa College to Arts Faculty on February 27.

Also, DU’s sociology faculty, Nandini Sundar, Rajeev Kanwar of Dyal Singh College and some DU students will address a public meeting at JNU against the violence at Ramjas College. Read Here.

‘Who’s polluting this young girl’s mind’: Kiren Rijiju refers to Kargil martyr’s daughter over her FB post

A Facebook post by the daughter of a Kargil martyr, Gurmehar Kaur has created a massive stir as she came out to speak against ABVP in the wake of the violence at Ramjas college of Delhi University. To which, Union Minister of Sates Kiren Rijiju added his comments. He said, who’s polluting this young girl’s mind?

Kiren Rijiju took to social media and Tweeted, “Who’s polluting this young girl’s mind? A strong Arm Force prevents a war. India never attacked anyone but a weak India was always invaded.” Read Here.

Shooters Heena Sidhu, Jeetu Rai win gold medal in mixed 10m Air Pistol event at ISSF World Cup

Ace shooter Heena Sidhu and Jeetu Rai win gold at their favored 10m Air Pistol at the ISSF World Cup event. Apparently, she is also India’s first pistol shooter to rank world no.1. So a lot of joy for the Sidhu household. At the Olympics last year as well, a lot of hopes were pinned on the shooting duo but they failed to notch up the results. It seems 2017 is going to be a historic one for the Indian shooters.
