This RSS Ideologue thinks Modi's banning of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 is just a 'chunavi jumla

After criticism from rival political parties and certain sections of the common man, Narendra Modi received some negative reactions from RSS ideologue Govindacharya.

According to Govindcharya, the move to demonitize Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes will redeem 3 per cent of the total black money in the country. He said: “Modi will not be able to make long term changes with this move. This will become another chunavi jumla. To put an end on high value notes will prove to be an effort in futility (Khoda pahad nikli chuhiya)”

The reason he gives is that not all Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes in the economy have been accumulated as black money. Further, he says not many people prefer to keep their black money in the form of cash. They usually convert it into jewellery, buy land in another country, buy antiques and paintings. “It is misleading to say that just by banning Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. On the contrary, such a  move has led to serious inconvenience for common people”

RSS is the ideological fountainhead of BJP. Govindcharya is a former RSS pracharak and BJP member. Now he calls himself an RSS swayamsevak. Such criticism coming from an RSS ideologue should be a cause of concern for Narendra Modi.
