Surgical strike: Venkaiah Naidu says PM has reassured that attacks will not be to tolerated

Senior BJP leader and Union Urban Development minister Venkaiah Naidu said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reassured terror attacks will not be tolerated. The minister said India has been repeatedly urging Pakistan that its territory should not be allowed for terror activities.

In the wake of surgical strike along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir Valley which was carried out by the Indian army on Thursday, the BJP leader commended the operation by the army.

Army operation was a part of their responsibility in defending unity, safety and security of the country said Naidu.

Naidu said the country is in the safe hands of PM Narendra Modi and that is why people across the world appreciated the counter-terror operation along the LoC. The minister said the country was outraged after the Uri attack and the PM had assured actions will be taked against those who were behind the attack.

Speaking about the surgical strike, Naidu said the strike was reciprocal positive gesture to counter terrorism  which was encouraged by Pakistan.  He added India has been urging Pakistan its territory should not be allowed for terror activities.

Commending the Indian army, Naidu said these operations are the mendate that Indian army have to foil any attempt of inflatration into India.

The surgical strikes were carried out targeting the training bases and terror launch pads across the LoC. The strike was initiated at 12:30 am on Thursday which lasted till 4:30 am. The Indian army used two choppers in the strike.

The Indian response to terror launch pads alongside the LoC has initiated a ‘war-like’ situation between the neighbouring countries. Pakistan has termed the strike as “not surgical” strike.
