In a shocking incident, a national level shooter on Sunday alleged that her coach who was also her practice partner raped her during a party in Delhi.
According to initial reports, the girl has alleged that her coach spiked her drink and raped her at his birthday party. The police have registered a FIR against the accused in Chanakya Puri police station.
A report in a leading news daily added that the girl had known her coach for over two years and was even in a relationship with him. TAs per the complaint the coach had also promised to marry her.
The girl has undergone a medical test which has confirmed rape following which the police are further investigating the matter.
“We have registered a case of rape and investigation will be carried out as the law permits,” MK Meena,Spl.CP told the media.
The woman shooter mentioned in her complaint that the accused had spiked her drinks and raped her while she was unconscious. He also stopped receiving her calls and even intimidated her by threatening to kill her and make it look like an accident if she did not stop bothering him, a daily reported.
The coach had apparently played in a number of international events and used to train her for national championships.
