Peter Mukherjea was aware of Sheena Bora's murder plot: CBI chargesheet

The hearing is scheduled to begin on Saturday.

The CBI in its second supplementary chargesheet has alleged that former media baron Peter Mukherjea was aware of his wife Indrani Mukherjea’s plan to kill Sheena Bora, her daughter from her first marriage. As per the details of the chargesheet, Indrani herself informed Peter about the murder plan.

Peter is also said to be aware of the recce that took place in Raigad wherein Sheena’s body was found. The new found information is contrary to the businessman’s version who has repeatedly said he had no role to play in the murder.

The CBI in its second supplementary chargesheet alleged that Peter sent several emails to his son Rahul in a bid to stop him from following the disappearance of Sheena, as reported by Times Now.

The investigative agency has stated that Indrani allegedly used her son Mikhail Bora to separate Sheena and Rahul. The chargesheet also states that Mikhail forwarded a message sent by Indrani on March 5, 2012, threatening her daughter that she would be disinherited from her property in case she did not separate from Rahul.

According to Mikhail, he was unaware of Sheena’s murder when he came to Indrani’s residence on April 24, 2012. He also claimed that the behaviour of his mother, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyamwar Rai were strange.

Sheena was allegedly murdered by Indrani, along with her accomplices Shyamwar Rai and Sanjeev Khanna. The trio was nabbed last year when Rai while appearing in an illegal arms case, revealed about the alleged murder.

Indrani reportedly tried to pass off as Sheena her sister, and then dumped her body in a forest in neighbouring Raigad district.

The CBI in its charge-sheet filed in November last year had named Indrani, Rai and Khanna as accused. Later, Peter Mukherjea was arrested the same month and a chargesheet was filed against him on February 16.
