Whoever refuses to say Jai Shri Ram and Bharat Mata ki Jai will be history: West Bengal BJP president

West Bengal's BJP unit president Dilip Ghosh is back in the news after he said that people from every part of the country should say "Jai shri Ram"

West Bengal’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit president Dilip Ghosh recently asserted that those who refused to say “Jai Shri Ram” and “Bharat Mata ki jai” will be history. Dilip Ghosh made this controversial statement while addressing a public meeting in North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal.

“In the entire country from Gujarat to Guwahati and from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Bharat Mata ki jai and Jai Sri Ram will be chanted. Those who will oppose it, will be relegated to history”,  Dilip Ghosh said. He further hit at the ruling Trinamool Congress affirming that they were only trying to muscle power in the state.

“You are showing your power here. You are resorting to extortion. BJP is there throughout the country. It has 11 crore members,” PTI quoted Ghosh as saying.

Following the statement, TMC secretary general Partha Chatterjee lashed out at Dilip Ghosh adding that the party had no idea about history and used religion as a means to incite people.”They (BJP) do not know anything about history. They are only trying to incite people by misusing religion. He (Dilip Ghosh) is talking about 11 crore BJP members, but there are another 110 crore population in the country who will not allow BJP to fulfil it’s dream,” he said.

He further stated that no matter did the BJP try to incite people, the state was in the support of the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. This is not the first time that Dilip Ghosh has made a controversial statement.A Muslim cleric had issued a fatwa against Dilip Ghosh, for making derogatory remarks against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Dilip Ghosh had earlier lashed out the West Bengal Chief Minister saying that his party could have “dragged her by hair” by his police if he wanted to do so when she was protesting in Delhi.
