Congress will bring 'Acche din in 2019': Rahul Gandhi attacks Modi

Rahul Gandhi who has recently returned to India from his vacation unleashed a series of attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on January 11 took a massive jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that it was the first time that the people of the country were ridiculing an Indian Prime Minister.

Attacking the Prime Minister, Rahul Gandhi said that he doesn’t even know how to hold a broom and “acche din” can only return when Congress returns to power. While addressing a gathering at the Jan Vedna Sammelan, Gandhi said that the Congress party doesn’t need to explain what they did or didn’t for the last 70 years; asserting further that the BJP has done what they couldn’t do in two and a half years under the governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He further said that the Prime Minister did start a few initiatives including Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Make In India campaign but forgot after implementing them.

He further said that while the Prime Minister aims to transform the country, automobiles’ sale has dropped by 60%, taking us 16 years backward. He concluded by saying that the Prime Minister and RSS have weakened India, whereas the Congress had given their blood and sweat to the nation.

The event was attended by a number of other Congress party workers, including the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. However, Congress President Sonia Gandhi gave the event a miss for unknown reasons.
