Keshav Prasad Maurya picks up broom to clean BJP office in Lucknow

Along with Keshav Prasad Maurya, party members also participated in the cleanliness drive and later celebrated the big day.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya today took up the broom to clean the premises of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office in Lucknow on the occasion of party’s foundation day.

Other leaders were also present with the Deputy CM on the occasion. Party members also participated in the cleanliness drive and later celebrated the big day.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today congratulated BJP workers across India. He took to Twitter and said, “On the Sthapana Diwas of @BJP4India, I congratulate the entire family of BJP Karyakartas working across the length and breadth of India.”

BJP was founded on April 6 in 1980. BJP leaders arrived at party headquarter in Delhi for the foundation day celebrations.

“It is a matter of pride that people across India and across all sections of society have placed their trust in BJP. Gratitude to the people,” PM said.

Impressed by the party workers, Modi said, “We recall with pride the hard-work of generations of BJP Karyakartas who built the Party brick by brick with the endeavour to serve society.”

PM Modi also paid tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at BJP headquarter. Now the BJP has planned to send its leaders to over 120 Lok Sabha constituencies, where the BJP had lost in the last polls but sees as winnable in the next.
