A man was arrested by the Mumbai police for allegedly stalking a Mumbai-based designer to her home. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, this Mumbai designer revealed that she was followed by a man who has now been identified as Niteshkumar Kumar while she was returning home in her car with her children.
“Two women and two kids in a car together don’t stop a random man from stalking and following you up to your house and ringing your door bell at 2 am,” Aditi Nagpaul said in a Facebook post. She went on to say that the man who works as an IT professional did not have fear of being under the CCTV surveillance and blatantly followed her and fearlessly stayed in his car. She added the man clearly did not fear the security guard or getting his pictures clicked.
“He didn’t have any fear in his eyes, a fear of being captured by security cameras, interrogation by security guards or threats of Police! He just hung around coolly in his car long after the incident very comfortable in getting his pictures clicked,” Aditi said.
Aditi posted the pictures of the man on Facebook and urged everyone to circulate the pictures adding that she had registered a complaint against the man with the police. The police officials responded quickly and arrested the man.

This incident comes days after the Chandigarh stalking incident surfaced where Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala’s son Vikas and his friend Ashish Kumar have been accused of stalking and harassing a daughter of an IAS officer. The case has led to a massive uproar with people demanding immediate action against Vikas who was granted a bail just hours after being arrested.
