Indians sing Pakistani national anthem as a gift for their Independence Day - Watch Video

In a beautiful gesture, Indians have come forward to sing Pakistani national anthem as a gift and surprise to them ahead of their Independence Day

Amid escalating tension between India and Pakistan over Kulbhushan Jadhav row, surgical strikes and repeated attacks across the Line of Control (LoC), this Indian band has come up with a beautiful surprise for the neighbouring country ahead of their Independence Day celebration which is celebrated on August 14 in Pakistan. In a wonderful gesture, Indian Acapella Band Voxchord has sung Pakistan National anthem as a gift for their Independence Day. How amazing is that?

In a two-minute video, you can see the band members holding a placard that sends an important message across. “This is our way of wishing you, Happy Birthday Pakistan. This Independence Day, we’d like to dedicate a song to our neighbours. A song about faith, pride and grandeur, of power, progress and perfection,” the placard read as.

The song does not have any fancy upbeat music and only features a group of band members making an effort to bridge the gap created between the two nations. The video has received 55,971 views as of August 13. However, people belonging to both India and Pakistan have lauded the band’s gesture and have been sharing the video extensively on Twitter while adding that the “World needs more of it”.
