Historic! Indian Air Force to take part in joint military drill in Israel for the first time

This military drill is considered to be the biggest and complex event organised by Israel

For the first time in the history, the Indian Air Force (IAF) will take part in a multinational military drill in Israel. A team from IAF is all set to fly to Israel to be a part of this event along with the United States of America, France, Poland, Greece, Italy and Germany.

This military drill is considered to be the biggest and complex event organised by Israel. The information has been confirmed by the ministry of defence that the IAF team will participate in the Blue Flag exercise later this year in Israel. According to several media reports, it has been learned that the participation is confirmed but the number of participants is yet to be clarified.

According to the Israel media reports, the Israel Air Force has stated that the Blue Flag exercise will include seven nations and a presence of around 100 aircraft from around the world could be seen.

Israel is the key weapon supplier to India, ranging from unnamed aerial vehicles to missile protection and small arms, due to which the joint military drill has been a sensitive issue till now. Both the nations, India and Israel, exchange a discreet team of experts but haven’t taken part in any such joint military drill.

Earlier, the IAF had also participated in the Red Flag exercise, a multinational military drill carried out by the US in 2016 in Alaska. In this event, India sent four Su 30 MKIs, two IL 78 mid amid-airers and 4 Jaguar Fighters.
