The founder of the Karni Sena, Lokendra Singh Kalvi, has threatened to cancel the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming movie, Padmavati just like they claimed to have cancelled the shoot o f Hrithik Roshan starrer Jodhaa-Akbar.

Kalvi while addressing the media claimed that they were only protecting the Rajput history which was apparently being tampered by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He went on to put forth demands saying that he will not tolerate any intimate scenes in the movie. He also slammed the filmmaker’s bodyguards for firing gunshots in the air and said that he could have met him instead.

He further questioned if the Sanjay Leela Bhansali had the permission of the forest department and the state department to shoot the movie in Jaipur. “Our ancestors gave their life to make the history. Is this why our ancestors sacrificed their lives? This is intolerable,” he said.

Meanwhile, just a day after being assaulted on the sets of his upcoming film Padmavati, filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, on January 28 cancelled his shoot in Jaipur. It is being reported that the crew members are set to return back to Mumbai.

Earlier today, Lokendra Singh Kalvi, the Founder of Rajput Karni Sena, the group that attacked filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and vandalised the set of Padmavati in Jaipur stuck to his stand saying that the things that are not present in the history cannot be shown. He further asked Bhansali if he would dare to go to Germany and make a film on Hitler.

Yesterday, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ran into huge trouble when members of Karni Sena protested on the sets of Padmavati in Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur. SLB was assaulted and slapped on the sets by few members of the group. To control the situation, his bodyguard is reported to have fired in air. The group is said to have problems with the way Rani Padmini of Chittor is being portrayed in the film.
