A fire broke out in the South City Mall of Kolkata on Sunday. At least 5 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot and are trying to take stock of the situation.

According to reports, the fire broke out in the food court area of the mall. The security forces have evacuated the people out of the mall. No casualties have been as yet. The cause of the fire has also been ascertained.

The movement of the vehicles have also been stopped around the mall by the local authorities to make unhindered pass for the rescue and fire team.

Minister of fire Suvon Chatterjee is also likely to visit the site. South City Mall which is the largest mall in the city is located in the Lake Gardens area of Kolkata.
