A 20-year old Delhi University (DU) student was gangraped and threatened by college friends on pretext of taking her to a party in Faridabad on February 3. The gangrape victim is a history student in South Campus. The Delhi Police have arrested four while one accused is said to be absconding after an FIR was lodged by the victim on February 18.
According to police, the two accused Gaurav and Sunny study in the same college as her. The Police told, Gaurav, Sunny and Rohtash were held and another person Bunty, who emerged as a conspirator was also arrested. Raids are on to nab Sachin who is absconding, police further added.
The victim in her statement said, she was gangraped by two of her classmates along with four of his friends. She also said, the two men, both residents of Faridabad, were joined by four others — Sachin, Rohtash, Vinod and Bunty — at their house. She claimed that the men took advantage of her after she became semi-conscious and could not resist their advances.
The victim was dropped in Delhi by Vinod who also raped her after stopping the car in an isolated place.

DU student molested by a bank employee
A first-year DU student was allegedly molested by a bank employee, in north Delhi’s Maurice Nagar area. The bank was located inside victims college premises.
However, the employee was arrested soon after the student approached the college authorities, who informed the police about the incident. The victim suffered scratch mark on her body.
21-year-old JNU student drugged, gang-raped
In another case, a Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student was drugged and gangraped by friends at their flat in South Delhi’s Green Park area.
Police said the victim had gone to a pub in Hauz Khas village with her friend where she met a man. He befriended the woman and they exchanged their mobile numbers. He invited the two Afghan men to his house in Green Park for a party, where she was raped.
Police arrested the two alleged accused.They were produced before a Delhi court that sent them to Tihar jail.
