Chhota Shakeel reacts to death rumours of Dawood Ibrahim: Here's what he has to say

Amid speculations of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s death in media, a close aide of him- Chhotta Shakeel, said the former was alive. Shakeel has been a close aide to the dreaded don for many years now and he refuted rumours about the ill health doing rounds of media. Shakeel said he is ‘fit and fine.’

According to the reports published in the ‘Times of India’, Chhotta Shakeel said all the reports are plain wrong.

Taking to Times of Indian over the phone from Karachi, Pakistan he said, “Listening to my voice, do you think any such thing has happened? These are all rumours”, he said. “Bhai is fit and fine.”

Earlier on April 28, Dawood, mastermind of the 1993 Mumbai blasts was reportedly in critical condition in Karachi’s Aga Khan Hospital after he suffered a heart attack.

Dawood is wanted in India for his involvement in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. Dawood, along Tiger Memon and Yakub Memon, is accused of organising and financing Mumbai serial blasts that left about 250 people dead and over 700 others injured.

In July 2015, Yakub Memon was hanged to death for this crime, while Dawood and Tiger are still free.
