Chacha Shivpal calls bhatija Akhilesh a 'liar': The Yadav family drama heats up a little more

SP Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav is acting as the arbitrator between the two warring factions.

A day after he was sacked by his nephew and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, chacha Shivpal went out all guns blazing. He called Akhilesh a ‘liar’. His attack on Akhilesh came after the UP chief minister denied that he ever wanted to break the party. According to India Today, Shivpal Yadav told Mulayam Singh: “Your chief minister is a liar”.

He said: “I will not float my own party but will not allow any conspirator to act against Netaji(Mulayam) or the interest of the party”. At this, Shivpal said that he was lying and he could swear on ‘gangajal’ that he had spoken about splitting the party.

The Yadav clan currently divided into two parts — one headed by Akhilesh Yadav and other by Shivpal Yadav is locked in a meeting to try and keep the party united. SP Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav is acting as the arbitrator between the two warring parties. The main reason of the rift is Shivpal Yadav’s closeness to controversial politician Amar Singh and his the latter’s re-entry in the party, something that hasn’t gone down well with the Chief Minister.

The current mess in the Yadav family has been aptly captured in this poster.
