Tamil Nadu SSLC March 2017 Results declared. Here's how to know your score

For Class 10 Tamil Nadu Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) board exam, more than 7 lakh students appeared. The exams started on March 8 and ended on March 31, 2017

The result of Class 10 Tamil Nadu Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) board came out on the May 19 at 10:00 am on the official website of tnresults.nic.in. More than 7 lakh students appeared for the exam which started on March 8 and ended on March 31, 2017. Last week, on May 12 the Directorate of Government Examination declared the results of class 12 examination.

The name of students occupying top three ranks in the SSLC and Plus Two (class 10 and class 12) would not be disclosed by the board. The move is taken so that other students don’t feel stressful. The name of top three rank holders was not announced after the HSC results came out last week.

KA Sengottaiyan, the state education minister said, “The first three ranks will not be announced because students these days are mentally affected even if they lose a mark. So, even parents won’t pressurise students too much. This will make sure that imparting knowledge is the focus of our educational institutes.”

Students expecting Tamil Nadu SSLC Class 10 Results can follow these steps:

    • Log on to the official website www.tnresults.nic.in
    • Click on the link, ‘SSLC Class 10 Result’
    • Enter Roll Number and other required details
    • Click to submit
    • The result will appear on the screen
    • Download the same and take print out for future reference.

The class 12 exam that came out last week, the overall pass percentage was 92.1 percent. More than 8 lakh students appeared for the HSC exam that took place in March this year.
