BJP winning the MCD elections, AAP to stay at number 2, claims ABP C-Voter survey

MCD elections will take place on April 23 and results of the poll will be declared on April 26

As elections for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is around the corner, early trends show that Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) is leading in the three municipal corporations in Delhi elections, with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) being the second major player and Congress securing the third spot.

According to an opinion poll conducted by ABP News-C Voter, In the South MCD, the BJP could win 39% of the votes, while the AAP might get 32% of the votes. Whereas, the Congress is third as per the survey and is expected to get 20% of the votes. Others might get 9% of the votes.

In North Delhi, out of total 104 seats, BJP is expected to get 44% of votes, AAP is second and could win 25% of votes, Congress can get 19% and others might win 12%,  as per the survey.

The poll conducted in East Delhi states that BJP might get 42% votes, AAP could win 26%, Congress 22% and others can get 10% of the votes.

The poll also states that out of total 272 seats, BJP is expected to get 179 number of seats, AAP could win 45 seats, Congress is expected to get 26 seats and others might get 22 seats.

MCD elections will take place on April 23 and will be held on 272 seats. In the civic body elections, out of the total number of seats, 114 is reserved for female candidates. The results of the poll will be declared on April 26. As many as  132,00,000  voters are eligible to cast their votes in the MCD polls and there are 10, 000 polling station. Delhi’s civic body is among the largest in the world and governs over 1.90 crore people.
