After Rana Ayyub, now Shazia Ilmi takes on trolls; files complaint against AAP supporters

Shazia Ilmi will be filing a complaint against AAP supporters for online comments against her

Taking a tough stand against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporters, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shazia Ilmi on Tuesday filed a complaint against trollers for online comments against her. In a series of tweets against AAP leader Sandeep Kumar, Ilmi had said: “AK should clean the Kachhra (Sandeep Kumar etc) within his own filthy ranks before attempting to clean Delhi.Lewd allegations will not help!”

In a video message too, she had asked Kejriwal to act against his party leaders. Shazia has claimed that she is being targeted because of the upcoming elections to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). “I want to know who these men are. This is such a filthy thing that people usual look away. I don’t want to be the idol of sympathy but want to courageously take on these offenders,” Ilmi said.

Ilmi filed the complaint at Delhi’s Mandir Marg Police Station. She had earlier reached out to the cyber cell and complained about online trolls.

Earlier, independent journalist Rana Ayyub had filed a case against a UAE-based employee for sending abusive messages on Facebook. The employee, identified as Bincylal Balachandran, from Kerala, had to lose his job following the complaint.
