She’ll be returning on screen after a gap of three years, which for any contemporary actress is big. But Parineeti Chopra managed to stay in the audience’s mind with her appearances here and there. Now she’s making a comeback with Rohit Shetty’s much anticipated Golmaal 4, which is slated to hit the screens during Diwali next year. Parineeti also has YRF’s Meri Pyari Bindu in the pipeline with Ayushmann Khurrana.
Golmaal 4 features Ajay Devgn, Shreyas Talpade, Arshad Warsi and Tushhar Kapoor donning their popular characters again. The previous Golmaal films had actresses Rimi Sen, Kareena Kapoor in pivotal roles. Parineeti is both a new and a stunning addition to the team. While the speculations were rife that either Alia Bhatt or Deepika Padukone might play the female lead in the film, Parineeti’s name seems like a better bet.
The actress, who was last seen on-screen in a dance number with Varun Dhawan in Dishoom, hasn’t done any comic character so far in her career. In fact, most of her screen roles had her playing a chirpy-bubbly young girl. Her character in Shuddh Desi Romance and Hasee Toh Phasee had her playing independent girls demanding for a change in the society. However, never did she play a character that could tickle our funny bone.
Moreover, since Golmaal 4 will be putting her across on screen after 3 years, Parineeti’s enthusiasm will be to watch out for. The actress herself seems completely excited to join the cast of the film. She tweeted:
Thankyouuu!! I am so excited to be a part of this family
Golmaal 4 is going to be the big Diwali release next year.
