Tum Bin 2 movie review: Neha Sharma, Aditya Seal's love story fails to impress

Anubhav Sinha comes up with a romantic love story Tum Bin 2 starring Aditya Seal, Aashim Gulati and Neha Sharma

Written and directed by Anubhav Sinha, Tum Bin 2 movie review is out. The movie is the sequel to 2001 film, Tum Bin and has Neha Sharma, Aditya Seal and Aashim Gulati in lead roles. Since its inception, the movie has a baggage of Tum Bin legacy that can’t be overlooked. Did Tum Bin 2 surpass the expectations or gave us the reason to say ‘Tum Bin Jiya Jaye aasani se?

Tum Bin

The story starts with a tried and tested plot, which is, a girl ( in this case) Neha Sharma aka Taran meets Aashim Gulati aka Amar and fall in love. But then due to some unfortunate circumstances (no spoiler here!) things take a drastic turn and all of a sudden we get to see the entry of Aditya Seal aka Shekhar. Next what happens is a complete mess!

Here’s why you cannot spend your weekend without watching Tum Bin 2

  1. The first half of the movie is quite engaging. The characters of Aditya Seal, Neha Sharma and Aashim Gulati are relatable and showcase different layers of emotion throughout the movie. At different points of time, they seamlessly portray their roles and are able to engage the audience.
  2. Anubhav Sinha and the team has fantastically shot in the mesmerising locations of Scotland and Glasgow. The locales are breathtaking and the scenes are beautifully shot.

Here’s where Tum Bin 2 disappointed us the most

  1. While the first half of the film keeps you engaged, the latter half single-handedly pulls down the movie. The movie drags and it seems that the makers have lost the plot.
  2. The makers weren’t able to exploit the full potential of a simple love story. In fact, the audience will definitely come out of the theater, all drained out emotionally.

Tum Bin 2 fails to impress despite being good in certain portions. However, one of the highlights of the film can be the dance number of Mouni Roy.
