Yamudu 3, the Telugu dubbed version of superstar’s recent release, Singam 3, turned out to be yet another flop for the actor at the Telugu Box Office. Directed by Hari and produced by Gnanavel Raja, the action-entertainer marks the third series of Singam franchise. Singam 3 (Yamudu 3) stars Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan as female leads of the film.
Though the action-entertainer, which had released on 9 February 2017 recorded excellent collections across the cinemas of Tamil Nadu, but the story was different in the Telugu speaking states. Singam 3 was bought for record prices across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and this has worked against the film to a large extent. Thanks to the high distribution price, Suriya had delivered another flop of his career at the Telugu Box Office. Unfortunately, the Singam 3 turned out to be the actor’s fourth flop in a row at the Telugu Box Office. The Ghajini actor’s previous three releases including 24 were failures at the Telugu Box Office.
Meanwhile, the shooting of Suriya’s upcoming film, Thaana Serndha Kootam is going at a brisk space in Tamil Nadu. Directed by Vignesh Sivan and produced by Singam 3 maker KE Gnanavel Raja under Studio Green banner, the film stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. Thaana Serndha Kootam also marks the 35th film of Suriya’s acting career. The actor will be looking for his much-needed success at the Telugu Box Office with the film.
