During a recent interview, the 26-year-old singer revealed that he is going to have a minor role in season 7. “I do know which role I am going to play,” he said. And then, he said something that gave us all the happiness in the world. He said, “I don’t die in it, I don’t die.” That’s another reason why one should look out for the upcoming season. Although, it might have been kind of cool to watch him get his throat slit or get his guts split or something. MIGHT.

“I’m only in it for like five minutes,” Sheeran went on for quite a while about his role. “I’d probably prefer to have sex than die in the show. I’m sure a lot of people are into that but I’m not.”

Game of Thrones season 7 is all set to premiere on July 16, 2017.
