After revealing the first look of Shankar’s 2.0 in November, the makers of the Rajinikanth Akshay Kumar starrer have now released the 3D poster of the film. The 3D poster featuring both the actors was released as a New Year gift to the fans of both the superstars. Interestingly, the poster also features 2017 calendar.
Produced by Lyca Productions, the sequel to 2010 blockbuster Enthiran also marks the Tamil debut of Akshay Kumar, who plays the main antagonist of the film. 2.0 is also touted as the biggest Indian film till date as the makers have spent Rs 400 crore for the science-fiction thriller. The Bollywood Khiladi portrays Dr. Richard, a scientist who reportedly turns into a crow after an experiment goes wrong.
2.0 was in news ever since the cast and technical crew was announced. The makers also roped in renowned Hollywood action director Kenny Bates, who choreographed actions in films like Die Hard, Pearl Harbor, and Transformers. Earlier, the makers had confirmed that their upcoming magnum opus will be released in 3D as well. 2.0 stars Madirasipattanam fame Amy Jackson as the female lead. The film is slated to be released worldwide on Diwali 2017.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, who is riding high in Bollywood after delivering three back to back hits last year is very excited about his Tamil debut. The actor, who is a big Rajnikanth fan, revealed that he’s thrilled to receive punches from the Thalaivar. 2.0 also marks the second collaboration of Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson after the 2015 Bollywood hit Singh Is Bliing.
