Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' to be released only after Karni Sena's approval: Rajasthan's Minister

Rajasthan’s Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Arun Chaturvedi said that the ‘Padmavati’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film will be screened before the Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena before it is released in the state.

According to the reports published in The Indian Express, the minister’s department said, “the delegation has been assured that we have put a hold on the shooting of the film in the state. And even if it is released in the state, it will be screened before members of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena and other knowledgeable members of society, from whom we will invite objections to the movie.”

The sets of ‘Padmavati’ was vandalised again on March 15 in in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur. Reportedly, the incident took place at around 10:30 pm when a group of 40-50 men armed with stones and lathis started damaging the property.
